Wanganui Environment Base is the place to be this Sunday! Sustainable Wanganui is holding its third annual Feijoabulous Festival.
Organisers Margi Keys and Lyn Pearson said the two previous festivals had been very popular.
From 11am to 1pm on Sunday, the feijoa will be celebrated through shared food, recipe swaps, a feijoa quiz and feijoa smoothies. Prizes will be given for the biggest, smallest and ugliest feijoas, and people are encouraged to dress up as feijoas.
Feijoabulous Festival will be held 11am-1pm, May 21, at the Whanganui Environment Base (behind the Resource Recovery Centre), Maria Place extension. Everyone is welcome – please bring a feijoa dish plus the recipe, and any feijoas you can spare.
