Trademe has announced that from march of 2018 the sale of pugs, French bulldogs and British bulldogs will be no more.

The dogs are being banned due to their common medical condition which blocks their airways. If not fixed by surgery, these breeds can live in chronic pain and distress which owners are not likely to notice.

Trademe is working with the SPCA and NZVA to help make owners and buyers more informed about the pets they are purchasing.

Good on them! Keep those doggos happy!
