Getting urgent messages to isolated communities can be difficult, but a new app’ could improve the speed the crucial news spreads.
Urgent targeted messages can be sent to isolated communities in an instant, thanks to a new smartphone app’ “Antenno” being used by Taupō District Council.
“We encourage all residents to download the app’ as this is the most immediate way of getting notifications.”
Notices about water supply, algae, road works, changes to rubbish collections and community events are posted on Antenno – but residents can choose which topics they wish to receive reports about.
