Madeline Sami and Jackie van Beek’s home-grown movie Breaker Upperers will soon be binge-watched around the globe on Netflix.
The popular streaming service has bought the rights to the film, which will debut for international Netflix audiences in 2019.
Co-producer Ainsley Gardiner told Stuff the agreement with Netflix is “the icing on the cake for what has been a really wonderful experience.”
The film, described as an ‘anti-Rom Com’, has made close to $1.7 million at the New Zealand box office to date – earning itself more in its first four days than massive US blockbuster Bridesmaids.
