Jude Pattie-Nelson has decided to host an event: A 24-hour treadmill challenge at Silhouette Gym. It is only $1 for a min, with 15 minutes being the minimum!
“I am raising awareness for suicide and also raising money, so I am are hoping to fill in the whole 24 -hours,” she said.
The money raised will go to the Taupō Family Centre where it will be used for counselling, to help people with suicide and to help families that have lost loved ones to suicide.
“Being a gym we are more than just about the physical, we are about the mental as well.
“I just don’t want anyone to go through what I have had to go through,or anyone else who has lost someone to suicide. It is a life sentence,” she said.
On September 28-29 there will be one or two treadmills dedicated to people who were taking part. If the demand is high, more machines will be available.
“Because I am a women’s-only gym, I can have men in as well but they will be in the outer hours.”
Make sure you join in!
