John Legend has become the first black man to achieve one of the most sort after status in the entertainment biz: An EGOT.

This means he has won four major annual American entertainment awards: the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards.

The singer and actor won an Emmy last night for Outstanding Variety Special for his work as a producer on Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, successfully putting him in the EGOT category along with legends such as Audrey Hepburn, Whoopi Goldberg and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
