This year the Christmas parade and festival falls on the 8th of December. The theme is ‘History’and all things old school!
The road closes and stalls open at 9am. Music and raffles start at 9.30 and go until after the Parade at 12.30.
There are a whole bunch of activities for the kids: Miniature pony rides and a larger horse for the bigger kids, the drenching machine, photos with Santa in the Grotto before the parade and silhouettes being painted in carparks.
There will also be stalls selling hangi, cakes, jams, pickled pork, jewellery, handmade clothes, fresh Veggies, ice cream, garden furniture, and more stall applications arriving daily. Coffee inside and outside.
Quickfire raffles of Christmas goodies
Spot prizes for decorated bikes, scooters, prams and fancy dress and those decorated bikes and scooters and prams and other fancy dress contestants are welcome to join the parade from the BNZ corner if the saleyards is too far to walk or scoot.
If you can, enter the parade! 1st prize is $150, 2nd is $100 and 3rd is $50.
