Ladies of Electronica at the Keg

31 August @ 10:00 pm - 1 September @ 2:30 am

It may be winter but things are really heating up at the Powderkeg, Ohakune. For one special night, join Aroha & Tali, Helen Corry, and Sophia as they throw down for one massive party.

Aroha & Tali
Aroha is without a doubt one of New Zealand’s most accomplished all genre DJ’s and Tali is an internationally acclaimed vocalist and freestyle MC. Together they are a formidable force on stage and unlike any other double act currently touring NZ. Together they bring a set packed with deep, dirty, wonky House music, Aroha seamlessly mixing a selection that is pure fire for the dance floor – all with Tali’s soaring vocals and uplifting lyrics complementing the mix. Their obvious chemistry and onstage energy is undeniable, as is their desire to engage their crowd, taking your Saturday night in this winter wonderland to the next level.

Helen Corry
Helen Corry has been a constant presence in the New Zealand music scene over the last eight years. As she continues to evolve and grow as an artist, Helen Corry has made her mark on the music scene with her original tracks and powerhouse vocals. 2018 marked a huge personal milestone in Helen’s career, as she released her debut EP ‘Later For the Real Show’ featuring the hit singles ‘Strike’ and ‘La femme’ that both made waves and garnered radio play on New Zealand’s leading dance station, George FM.

Sophia
A fairly recent arrival on the scene, Sophia got her first DJ break in 2017 when she won George FM’s Wild Card spot at Springbreak Fiji and played on the beaches of Beachcomber Island. Fast forward nearly two years, and Sophia has played at Rhythm & Vines, supported Australian act Paces, jammed with the Bassment crew at Impala, as well as dj’ing across several of Auckland’s bars and clubs on the regular. She will be bringing the bangers to get this party started.
