THIS WEEKEND we are sending it HARD in Ohakune @ ‘The Junction’ end of town for the biggest winter party in the North Island!! Back for another banger round presented by our mates at the Ohakune Events Charitable Trust and Audiology.

OMG 2023 – KEY INFO:

– Gates open at 4pm. Arrive early to avoid the queues & make the most of the stacked line-up.

– Please have your valid ID ready.R18. No exceptions.

Ohakune Mardi Gras is an inclusive event, “we love people from all walks of life. If you have any issue at all, you can ask for ‘Angela’ or ‘Andrew’ at the bar and you will be assisted.”



Planning your way to and from Mardi Gras is KEY! There are a few options available in Ohakune to help you get to & from Mardi safely. Some may be booked out.

Police will be very active across the weekend, don’t risk safety, sort your travel plans early.


National Park to Ohakune & return shuttles to get concert-goers to and from Mardi Gras 2023 safely, and quickly without the hassle and struggle of getting the bus. Not only are they the ‘Sober D’, get your party-on on the train before and after the event! Passenger Pickup at National Park and Ohakune Railways stations.

‘KnowYourStuffNZ is a grassroots peer lead organisation that addresses the lack of factual, proven information available to drug users about the substance they intend to take by providing drug checking and drug related information at festivals and events. Our aim is Harm reduction.

The use of FTIR (infra-red spectroscopy) gives us an idea of what’s in the substance, then the clients gets an awesome open harm reduction conversation so they can make their own informed decisions on their drug use.

Becoming legal in 2021 allowed us to widen our reach to more regions, and support other peer led organisations to test within their communities”

You can find them at the Christie Park Wristband pickup 4PM to 8PM on Friday & 9AM to 4PM on Saturday

Preaccred will be at Christie Park on Friday and Saturday! 9am-4pm.
