New Years

New Year’s Day and the day after fall on the weekend in 2022 meaning the holidays are Monday- and Tuesdayised – Hello four-day weekend.

Waitangi Day
Take one, get four. Waitangi Day falls on Sunday, February 6

Take Friday, February 4 off and enjoy an extra-long weekend as Waitangi is Mondayised in 2022.

Easter/Anzac Day

Use 4 days leave – Enjoy 11 off. The ever-moving holiday of Easter often falls just before Anzac Day next year, so why not combine the two.

Book your leave for the four days between Easter Monday (April 18) and Anzac Day (April 25) and enjoy an 11-day break.

Queen’s Birthday

Take one day off, and hello four day weekend! (Cheers Lizzy)

In April, The Queen will turn 96 – New Zealand will mark the occasion with a public holiday on Monday, June 6. By taking the Friday off and enjoy a right royal long weekend.

Matariki 

The newest of public holidays!

Again, use one day of leave and enjoy a four day weekend
Use one day of leave, enjoy four days off. Matariki will fall on Friday, June 24.

Labour Day 

Labour Day will take place on Monday, October 24 – Take Friday 21 October off.

Christmas and New Year (2022)

3 days of leave can = 11 Days off

Christmas &  New Year’s days both fall on Sundays next year – That means they’ll be  Tuesdayised.  That’s two four-day weekends over the silly season.
