It’s the busiest time of year for Santa, but he’s still squeezing in quick visits to Taupō.

Santa said he’d do his best to stop by Suncourt Plaza on Thursday and Friday from 10am to 2pm.

“I’ll be there on Saturday and Sunday too, but I’ve got huge number of deliveries to do on Christmas Eve, so I’ll head off early at 2pm,” he said.

“I love dropping by Taupō to thaw out,” told several lucky Taupō locals on Wednesday.

“The elves and I are having great fun getting all the childrens’ toys ready for Christmas, but it is pretty cold up at the North Pole,” he said.

“My reindeer get really thirsty during the flight, so they love lapping up the cool Lake Taupō water, too.”

Families visiting Santa at the Cave can purchase printed photos with him, if they wish.
