Zoi Sadowski-Synnott: Most Decorated Olympic Snowboarder

-

History made! Wānaka’s Zoi Sadowski-Synnott secures silver in slopestyle at Milano-Cortina 2026, becoming the world’s most decorated snowboarder.

She’s done it again! Overnight in Italy, Wānaka’s own Zoi Sadowski-Synnott officially etched her name into the global history books. By clinching a clutch Silver medal in the Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle final, Zoi has become the most decorated Olympic snowboarder in history with a total of five medals.

After already bagging silver in the Big Air earlier this month, the pressure was on for her signature event. Zoi delivered a masterclass third run to jump onto the podium, proving that even at 24, she is the undisputed queen of the slopes. While the wind at Milano-Cortina has been brutal, our Kiwi legend remained ice-cold. With this win, she overtakes every other legend in the sport for total medal count. New Zealand currently sits with three medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics, and with a few events left, the “Kiwi Cool” factor is at an all-time high.
