Covid-19 Testing:

TAIHAPE

Taihape Health Centre – 3 Hospital Road – OPEN 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM –

Please call ahead of time. Patients with symptoms will be asked to wait in their car. A nurse will come out and assess you. A Covid-19 swab can be carried out in the car. If a fuller examination is required then you will be asked to come in via the rear entrance of the practice.

Rubbish and Recycling:

Rangitīkei District Council utilises contractors to remove rubbish from Council owned Transfer Stations. Most Transfer Stations will resume normal operations under their normal hours. Under Alert Level 3 facilities are not able to carry out sorting of recyclables, so all recycling will remain mixed and go to landfill, so if possible please continue to stockpile clean recycling. There will be limitations on the number of vehicles allowed at each site to allow for social distancing protocols, so queues may be long to access the sites. Details on each Transfer Station are:

MARTON – Waste Transfer Station OPEN WITH RESTRICTIONS Normal operating hours from 7.30am, Tuesday 28th April. Account holder & EFTPOS transactions ONLY (no credit cards). There will be no cash handling. Only one to two vehicles will be allowed on site at a time, to allow for social distancing protocols. Plastics, cardboard/paper & cans recycling will remain closed (sorting is not allowed under Level 3) but glass recycling will be available.
RATANA -Waste Transfer Station OPEN For domestic bagged refuse and recycling only, at the standard times on 2:30pm -4:30pm Wednesdays and 9am-12pm Saturdays
HUNTERVILLE – Waste Transfer Station OPEN For domestic bagged refuse and recycling only, at the standard time 2pm-5pm on Sundays.
MANGAWEKA – Waste Transfer Station OPEN For domestic bagged refuse and recycling only, at the standard time 10:30am-1pm on Sundays
BULLS – Waste Transfer Station OPEN WITH RESTRICTIONS Normal operating hours from 8.00am, Wednesday 29th April. Account holder & EFTPOS transactions ONLY (no credit cards). There will be no cash handling. Only one to two vehicles will be allowed on site at a time, to allow for social distancing protocols. Plastics, cardboard/paper & cans recycling will remain closed (sorting is not allowed under level3) but glass recycling will be available.
