Dua Lipa & Megan Thee Stallion have just dropped a new track called ‘Sweetest Pie’ and it’s both catchy & steamy!
Referred to by some as a ‘Lite version’ of Cardi B’s hit, X-rated track “WAP”, Megan and Dua sing the most alluring hook: “Ooh, this the ride of your life, hold on ‘cause, baby, I might / I might just give you a bite of the sweetest pie / Ooh, baby, we can go fast, I’ll drive and you just lay back / I got the flavor that lasts, yeah, the sweetest pie.”
If that wasn’t spicy enough, the lyrics get fairly explicit during Megan Thee Stallion’s rap in the verse of the song.
In a recent episode of Lipa’s podcast At Your Service, the U.K. pop star talks with the Houston rapper about their spicy collaboration.
During the episode, Dua says “Megan and I have been going back and forth for so long on ‘Sweetest Pie,’” “First of all, we were just sending tracks to each other that we felt represented both of us. I remember I was in LA working on my third album and I get an email being like ‘Megan really likes this track what do you think?’ and I listened to it and immediately heard it and was like ‘Oh I’m ready to write to this one.’”
Megan touched on the lengths she went to in order to perfect the track, “I wrote so many versions of this song,” “Finally when I heard your voice on it I was like, ‘No – I need to rewrite all of this. It’s not good enough [for you]’.”
