Petpuls Lab has released a new AI-powered Smart Dog Collar that “can detect five emotions in canines by monitoring their barks using voice recognition technology.”
The collar analyses the dog’s bark and can detect Happiness, Relaxation, Anxiety, Anger, or Sadness in your K9 friend. The emotion the collar detects is then displayed on the Petpuls smartphone app to tell the pooches parents how the dog is feeling. The app has an Emotional Recognition Accuracy Rate of more than 80%
Petpuls Lab created this collar by gathering and analyzing different dog barks for three years, collecting over 10,000 samples from 50 different breeds.
This collar is no gimmick, the Seoul National University tested the device and found that Petpuls’ algorithm was correct in determining a dog’s state of mind roughly 90 percent of the time.
