Have you Goat what it takes?

The Goat is an exhilarating adventure run from Whakapapa to Turoa Ski Fields on the Round the Mountain track, traversing the western slopes of Mount Ruapehu.

The 20 kilometre (approx.) course has over 1,000 metres of vertical ascent and covers amazing terrain. Pass by stunning scenery ranging from ancient lava flows and scoria fields, mountain beech forest, tussock grasslands, and alpine herb fields to cascading waterfalls, an alpine lake, boulder-strewn rivers, and amazing panoramic views.

This UNESCO Dual World Heritage Area; the Tongariro National Park is a magical place for trail runners and adventurers alike. ENTER HERE

What is The Kid?

The Kid is a special Adventure Run just for young people aged 5-16, as part of The Goat Tongariro Adventure Run. The Kid is proudly presented by Opus Fresh Apparel Co.! and the Ohakune Events Charitable Trust and follows a 3.2km trail in the Mangawhero Forest in Ohakune, on an off-road track that loops around the forest with surprises along the way, and finishes under a special archway. The Goat mascot will be there too! Each runner will receive a finisher medal (or donate a tree) and a yummy treat!
