Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, alongside Director-General of Health Dr. Ashley Bloomfield, announced that All of New Zealand, outside of Auckland, will move to alert level 2 at 11:59pm on Tuesday
During the announcement, Ardern introduced ‘Delta 2’ – Alert Level 2 in a Delta Environment.
There will be a limit of 50 people for indoor gatherings, such as hospitality or event venues; outdoor venues can have up to 100 people
The second change is indoor public facilities like gyms and libraries must have a two-metre space rule.
Auckland remains in a strict level 4 lockdown until early next week when the settings will be reviewed. Anyone displaying symptoms of Covid-19 or awaiting test results should not travel at all, no matter where they live.
