Rhythm and Vines, as of today, will be directing all future fundraising efforts towards the Gisborne Flood Relief. For 20 years, Gisborne has been our home and looked after our guests, and now more than ever, our hometown needs support to recover from the devastating floods of Summer 2022/2023.
Short term, the Waiohika homestead and Rhythm and Vines festival facilities (portaloos etc) at Waiohika Estate have been readily made available for Emergency services dealing with the floods and recovery efforts.
Fundraising efforts have begun with the festival launching a Rhythm and Vines raffle, whereby $15,000 worth of tickets and prizes are available to win for those who donate or purchase the $20 Raffle tickets.

All money raised will go towards The Disaster Relief Trust. This is a registered charity, administered by Gisborne District Council, which means every cent goes to the welfare of those recovering from storm events in this region.
Long term, Rhythm and Vines will be adapting its annual fundraising efforts towards The Disaster Relief Trust. Annual fundraising initiatives such as Donation add-ons for ticket purchasers, Comp by Donation initiative whereby free tickets are turned into lifesavers. The team will be working with its sponsors and partners to develop further fundraising activities.
Unfortunately, the downside will mean the festival’s fundraising efforts will have to be redirected away from their long term charity LIFELINE, where over $85,000 has been raised over 4 years for the important mental health charity. Where possible, the festival will continue to advocate for LIFELINE and encourage where possible for people to donate to lifeline.org.nz.
