After two decades of “blowing on the pie,” Police Ten 7 is coming to an end.

Apart from Shorties, ‘Police Ten 7’ is one of the longest running Kiwi TV series and now it’s wrapping up and leaving our screens after a good 20-year stint.

Recently renamed ‘Ten 7 Aotearoa,’ the show is packing away the cameras after a huge 750 episodes. It’s left us with a ton of golden ‘loose kiwi only’ moments to remember it by.

Here are a few of the most hilarious classics that kept us watching all these years.

First pick has to be ‘this beauty’ with the words of the then-Sergeant Guy Baldwin: “… always blow on the pie.” Never forgotten! Safer communities together!

“Aw gummon”, second fav classic quote from the show…

Or, how about the dude that braved it in front of his mates and then asked the cop to wipe his tears in the backseat of the police car?!

10 seconds of fame for the person who wanted to be arrested just to get a quick cameo on tv

Get this though… Almost one thousand crimes, including serious assaults and homicides, have been resolved thanks to information from ‘Ten 7’ viewers!!

Unfortunately though, TVNZ said the show has failed to gather enough ratings to continue on our teles.

However, it will be part of New Zealand television history and no doubt it’s been a vital investigative tool for the Po-pos.

The final show will run on TVNZ from 13th April after 20 years on screens and 750 episodes. The wrap up show will include a special celebration of 20 years of ‘Ten 7.”
