Hollywood power couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have pledged to match donations made to help Ukraine (up to $1 million US dollars)
The growing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has captured global attention. We’ve seen images of Ukrainian citizens sheltering in Kyiv subways, apartment buildings being struck by missiles, and thousands of people displaced and fleeing the country.
The star of Deadpool made the announcement on Twitter, in addition to retweeting a post from the United Nations Refugee Agency.
In 48 hours, countless Ukrainians were forced to flee their homes to neighboring countries. They need protection. When you donate, we’ll match it up to $1,000,000, creating double the support.⬇️ https://t.co/xCFL1Lptuw https://t.co/CHp48E1KLQ

Reynolds’ wife and Gossip Girl star Blake Lively posted the announcement using an image of a young child being passed to what looks like a train, assumedly heading for a safe zone away from the conflict area.

When you head onto the donation page located on the UN Refugee Agency website you’ll see a message that reads;
‘When you donate today, your compassionate gift will be matched by Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds — up to $1 million. Double your impact to send lifesaving aid to Ukrainian families in need’
Props to Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively for this move.
